Guillaume Poirier Girard holds a PhD in literary and cultural studies from Université de Sherbrooke. His research focuses primarily on queer studies, gender studies, and feminist studies in French language literature, particularly in Quebec literature. His dissertation examined the production of queer subjectivities in the work of Quebec author Marie-Claire Blais and is set to be published as a monograph by Université de Montréal. He also published a special issue of Études francophones titled Multitudes queer in collaboration with Hasheem Hakeem and Marie-Dominique Duval. His contributions to literary studies include working on various special issues that explore representations of sexual practices in contemporary discourse.
