Professor Dr. Guillaume Marquis Gravel

Biography

Guillaume Marquis-Gravel is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Université de Montréal, specializing in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular diseases. He leads various research projects aiming to improve renal outcomes in patients undergoing coronary angiography and has been involved in multi-center randomized controlled trials assessing the effectiveness of tailored hydration strategies to mitigate contrast-induced acute kidney injury. His expertise encompasses acute coronary syndromes, platelet drug administration, and the clinical application of innovative cardiovascular therapies. Dr. Marquis-Gravel's commitment to medical education and training is reflected in his roles within the Canadian Cardiovascular Society and his teaching in biomedical sciences. He has received numerous awards acknowledging his contributions to cardiology education and research, including the Canadian Cardiovascular Society Trainee Excellence Education Award and recognition on the Dean’s Honour List.
