Since September 2018, I have been an Assistant Professor at Mila and the Department of Computer Science and Operational Research (DIRO) at the University of Montreal. I hold the CIFAR AI Research Chair since March 2019. Before joining UdeM, I was a postdoctoral researcher at McGill University's Reasoning and Learning Laboratory, where I worked with Prakash Panangaden, Joelle Pineau, and Doina Precup. I earned my PhD in 2016 from AMU, working in the Qarma team (Machine Learning and Multimedia) under the supervision of François Denis and Hachem Kadri. Previously, I obtained a Master's degree in Fundamental Computer Science from AMU and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the same university through distance learning. My research interests include tensor methods for machine learning and designing learning algorithms for structured data using linear and multilinear algebra (e.g., spectral methods).
