Biography

Günter Gauglitz has been a Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the University of Tübingen since 1987. He is part of the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Bio- and Chemosensors, one of four independent departments within the Institute of Physical and Theoretical Chemistry at the University. His research focus has shifted in recent years towards the development of optical sensors, with significant contributions in the field of optical spectroscopy, detection problems in chromatography, photokinetics, and the study of photochromic systems. His group has achieved relevant results over the last few years and is actively involved in various national and international research projects funded by institutions such as the German Research Foundation (DFG), the European Community (EU), the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), and the Association for Industrial Research (AIF). This has led to a longstanding experience in collaboration with research and development institutions and industry.
