Guoqiang Tian is a Professor of Economics at Texas A&M University College of Arts and Sciences. He is an economic theorist with broad theoretical interests focusing on mechanism design theory, game theory, auction theory, matching theory, mathematical economics, and economic transition in the Chinese economy. Currently, he is working on mechanism design settings, optimal dynamic contract design, the existence of Nash equilibrium in discontinuous games, auction participant costs, and matching issues. He has contributed to the full characterization of fixed-point theorems and related theorems pertinent to China’s reform. Professor Tian is a recent recipient of the Sun Yefang Award, which is the highest honor in economic science in China, for his book "China’s Reform: History, Logic, and Future." He serves as the Chief Editor for Frontiers in Economics in China and is a Co-editor for the Annals of Economics and Finance.
