Biography

Gurjit Randhawa is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science at the University of Guelph, specializing in the application of machine learning to complex challenges in genomics, bioinformatics, precision agriculture, and sustainable engineering. Furthermore, he is developing intelligent farming tools and autonomous systems to enhance agricultural efficiency and sustainability, particularly focusing on detecting Potato Virus Y (PVY) in crops. His work has the potential to significantly contribute to our understanding of genetic diversity and improve farming practices through innovative, data-driven solutions.
