Gurpreet Hansra is a PhD candidate and Research Assistant at the Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing (CHeBA) in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of New South Wales. Her research focuses on identifying molecular biomarkers in blood for the early detection and prognosis of vascular contributions to dementia (VCID). Prior to her work at CHeBA, she served as a Manager (Outreach) and Lecturer in Life Sciences in Singapore, where she taught nursing students and led research projects on dementia in collaboration with fellow scientists. Gurpreet is actively involved in professional organizations, serving as an Early Career Investigator Representative for the International Society for Vascular Behavioral Cognitive Disorders (VasCOG).
