Dr. Guy Holburn

Biography

Guy Holburn is a Professor at Ivey Business School, specializing in Business, Economics, and Public Policy. His expertise includes strategy, corporate governance, stakeholder management, and corporate social responsibility regulation. Holburn has published extensively in top peer-reviewed academic journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, and Harvard Business Review. He founded and serves as the Director of the Ivey Energy Policy and Management Centre, which focuses on applied research in energy sector policy. Holburn is a board member at the Alliance for Research on Corporate Sustainability and has advised various corporations and government entities in Canada and the U.S. on corporate governance, economic impact assessments, and regulatory strategy. Since joining Ivey in 2001, he has been engaged in teaching executive development programs while previously working as a management consultant. Holburn holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.A. with First Class Honors from Cambridge University.
