Professor Dr. Hadar Averbuch Elor

Biography

Hadar Averbuch-Elor is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at Cornell Tech, part of the Cornell Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science. Averbuch-Elor's research interests lie at the intersection of computer graphics and computer vision, with a focus on combining pixel-based and structured modalities, as well as integrating natural language with 3D geometry. Prior to joining Cornell Tech, Averbuch-Elor held an assistant professor position at Tel Aviv University. He has received multiple recognitions for his work, including the Zuckerman Postdoctoral Scholar Fellowship and the Schmidt Postdoctoral Award in Women in Mathematical and Computing Sciences. Additionally, he has been selected as a Rising Star in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley. Averbuch-Elor earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and completed his Ph.D. at Tel Aviv University.
