Biography

Hadassa Noorda is an Associate Professor at the University of Amsterdam's Faculty of Law specializing in Criminal Law with a focus on the philosophy of law and penal theory, particularly punishment and imprisonment. Notably, as part of her PhD research, Hadassa was a visiting researcher at Georgetown University and UC Berkeley. She has received the Rubicon grant from the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research and is currently a Gak Fellow at the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study.
