Biography

Haemala Thanasegaran is a socio-legal academic with extensive experience in teaching contract law, business commercial law, and international trade law at Monash University. Apart from her academic contributions, Haemala has authored non-academic publications and is a motivational speaker, particularly focusing on supporting refugee women in Melbourne. She is currently interested in supervising Higher Degree Research (HDR) students in areas related to contracts, consumer protection, insurance/takaful, and comparative socio-legal law reform.
