Biography

Hagen Eckert is an Assistant Research Professor in the Thomas Lord Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science at Duke University. He was awarded his Ph.D. from Technische Universität Dresden in Germany in 2020. His research interests include variable-temperature plasmonic high-entropy carbides, developments in materials discovery and design through the OPTIMADE API, and investigations into high-entropy alloys and their properties.
