Biography

Haim Yacobi is an architect specializing in critical urban studies and urban health. His association with the Development Planning Unit at University College London began in 1997. He completed his MSc in Housing Development with overall distinction, supported by the British Council Chevening Award. From 2006 to 2007, he was a Fulbright Post-doctorate fellow at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, and later joined the Department of Politics and Government at Ben Gurion University. Between 2010 and 2012, Yacobi received a Marie Curie Grant that facilitated his research at Cambridge University, focusing on contested cities. His academic roles have included Associate Professor and Head of the Department of MA Urban Design at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, and Senior Lecturer and Lecturer at Ben Gurion University in the Politics and Government department.
