Dr. Haixia Hu

Biography

Haixia Hu is a Teaching Fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) with extensive teaching experience across various universities including the University of Warwick and the University of Birmingham. She holds an MSc in International Business and a PhD in Economic Geography from the University of Birmingham. Her doctoral research focused on 'Translocal Educational Enterprises and Internationalization of English Independent Schools', employing qualitative research methods and analyzing data from 98 interviews across 11 countries. Hu's research interests are centered on the internationalization of educational enterprises in emerging economy settings. With over six years of industry experience as a stock market analyst in China, she utilizes both fundamental and quantitative analysis to evaluate financial stability and growth potential of companies. Hu has received research funding for her PhD work and has been active in the academic community, with presentations at international conferences and contributions as a paper reviewer. Her current research includes publishing papers related to the strategies and business models of Multinational Enterprises (MNEs) and Emerging Market Multinational Enterprises (EMNEs).
