Biography

Hamid Afshari is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Dalhousie University. He completed his graduate studies at Amirkabir University of Technology in Iran and the University of Manitoba in Canada. His research focuses primarily on Sustainable Supply Chain Management, Applied Optimization, and the integration of advanced technologies such as Industry 4.0 in sustainability practices. Afshari holds adjunct positions at Ryerson University and Cape Breton University and has several awards, including the Dalhousie Diversity Faculty Award and MITACS Elevate.
