Biography

Hamid Akbarshahi is an Associate Professor in the field of Respiratory Medicine at Lund University, where he also serves as a Researcher and Supervisor. His research focuses on various aspects of respiratory health, particularly the immune mechanisms mediated by respiratory viruses and their relevance to conditions such as asthma and COPD. He is actively involved in projects investigating the incidence of pulmonary fibrosis and the use of cryobiopsy techniques in mediastinal procedures.
