Generate a tailored SOP for Dr. Hamid Jahed. Improve your application with a focused, well-structured draft.
Hamid Jahed is a Professor and University Research Chair in Mechanical Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo. He directs the Fatigue Stress Analysis Laboratory (FATSLab), where his research interests focus on cold spray technology, durability of materials and products, multiscale mechanical characterization, and the development of Digital Twins for structural life enhancement technologies. His work on cold spray technology explores applications in coating, restoration, and 3D printing, emphasizing residual stress, fracture mechanisms, and health and environmental applications. At FATSLab, he investigates the fatigue fracture properties of materials and joints under uniaxial and multiaxial loads and develops cyclic plasticity life prediction models, as well as methods for measuring residual stresses in engineering applications. Professor Jahed is a recognized figure in the field, having been invited to keynote at significant conferences and received several awards for his contributions to engineering education and research. He has mentored a significant number of graduate students and established strong research partnerships with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, leading large collaborative projects.
Includes fields like Clinical, Cognitive, Developmental, and Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
