Biography

Dr. Nurrohman is an Associate Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics at the University of Texas School of Dentistry. He also serves as Course Director for Operative Dentistry. Additionally, he is an adjunct professor in Preventive Restorative Dentistry at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Nurrohman holds a Doctor Dental Surgery from Trisakti University in Indonesia and a PhD in Dental Science from Tokyo Medical Dental University. He has received advanced clinical training in cariology and operative dentistry, with a focus on biomimetic bonded restorations. His postdoctoral research in teaching training at UCSF was supported by funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr. Nurrohman's scholarly work emphasizes research and development of new bioactive restorative dental materials, biomimetic remineralization, and biofabrication of engineered dentin-pulp complex tissue.
