Dr. Han Goh

Biography

Han Leong Goh is a senior principal specialist at Synapxe, Singapore’s national HealthTech agency. He leads the development of AI and data analytics solutions aimed at enhancing healthcare services. Dr. Goh develops strategies and provides guidance to multiple stakeholders to advance the application of AI and data analytics in healthcare. His notable projects include leading a team to utilize machine learning for monitoring and predicting multiple readmissions at hospitals and applying deep learning algorithms to chest X-ray images in developing an AI prognostication tool that helps detect severe community-acquired pneumonia and COVID-19 respiratory infections. He was awarded the National Commendation Medal (COVID-19) in 2022 for his exceptional contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic. With more than 15 years of experience as a data scientist, Dr. Goh took on the role of Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2023, teaching “Healthcare Transformation Analytics” to students in the NUS Master of Science in Business Analytics Programme. Prior to his current role, he was a project manager and data scientist at Singtel's living analytics R&D lab, where he was responsible for delivering insights on client projects leveraging big data analysis. Dr. Goh has spent half of his career at the Land Transport Authority (LTA), providing technology leadership and strategic oversight for mobility solutions in land transportation.
