Biography

Han Wu is a Lecturer in Cyber Security at the University of Southampton, focusing on Dependable Secure Machine Learning Technology. His research interests mainly include Federated Learning and Adversarial Machine Learning. Prior to joining Southampton, he worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham and as a Research Associate at Newcastle University, contributing to EPSRC-funded projects. Han obtained his PhD in Computer Science from the Free University of Berlin in 2020, and his academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and a Master’s degree from Tongji University. His current research explores topics such as Machine Unlearning and its applications in Federated Learning and AI, aimed at enhancing security in data-driven environments.
