Biography

Han Zhang is the Steven Denning Professor of Technology and Management at Georgia Tech's Scheller College of Business, where he specializes in Information Technology Management. He received his Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Texas at Austin and has held various leadership roles, including Faculty Director for the Steven Denning Technology and Management Program and the Executive MBA Program. His research interests include economics of information technology, online trust and reputation, word-of-mouth, and the dynamics of electronic markets. Zhang has published extensively in premier journals such as MIS Quarterly and Information Systems Research, and currently serves as a senior editor for MIS Quarterly. He is also an active member of the academic community, co-founding the China Summer Workshop on Information Management and participating in various conferences and workshops. Throughout his career, Zhang has earned numerous awards, recognizing his contributions to teaching and research, including the Hesburgh Award and the Outstanding Undergraduate Research Mentor Award at Georgia Tech. He teaches at both undergraduate and graduate levels, focusing on courses like database management and business analytics.
