Biography

Hangjun Wang is board certified in Anatomic Pathology with a specialization in Thoracic Pathology and Cytopathology. He obtained his Medical Degree in China, followed by four years of residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York, USA. He completed fellowships at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, focusing on Thoracic Pathology, Cytopathology, and Oncologic Surgical Pathology. His primary role involves establishing accurate pathologic diagnoses, staging, and interpreting predictive markers for molecular profiling to guide treatment decisions. He collaborates with colleagues in oncology, surgery, and radiation oncology to care for patients affected by lung, pleural, and mediastinal diseases. His current research interests include Biomarkers, liquid biopsy, molecular testing for lung cancer, and Digital pathology.
