Biography

Hani Vahedi (Senior Member, IEEE) received PhD honors from École de Technologie Superieure (ÉTS), University of Quebec, Montreal, Canada, in 2016. He was awarded the PhD Thesis Award for the academic year 2016-2017. Dr. Vahedi has published more than 60 technical papers in IEEE conferences and Transactions, and authored a book chapter for Springer Nature and Elsevier. He is an active member of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES), serving on the Student & Young Professionals (S&YP) committee, where he co-chairs special sessions and organizes forums. Additionally, he is an associate editor for the IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics and the IEEE Open Journal for Industrial Electronics Society. With over seven years of industry experience as a power electronics designer and chief scientific officer, he has joined Delft University of Technology as an assistant professor in the DCE&S group, focusing on electrification of industrial processes and clean energy transition. His research interests encompass multilevel converter topologies, modulation control techniques, electrification applications in industrial processes, smart grids, renewable energy conversion, electric vehicle chargers, green hydrogen production through electrolyzers, and fuel cell systems. Dr. Vahedi encourages inquiries and offers consultations.
