Dr. Hanna Gyllensten

Biography

Hanna Gyllensten is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Gothenburg with a PhD in Medicine obtained in 2014. Her thesis focused on exploring the economic impact of drug-related morbidity, particularly concerning adverse drug reactions and sub-therapeutic effects of drug therapy. She is associated with health care sciences and conducts research primarily in health economics, especially as it pertains to chronic diseases. Her work involves economic evaluations of person-centered interventions in healthcare, underpinned by data collected from clinical trials along with national and regional registers. Hanna's research includes register-based observational studies that utilize data from national registers combined with population surveys to assess societal costs arising from various diseases. She is part of research groups dedicated to person-centered care and healthcare transition, which further drives her interest in health economics, drug safety, and pharmacoeconomics.
