Biography

Hanna Lerner is a UCHV Fellow specializing in Law and Public Policy. She teaches at the School of Political Science, Government, and International Affairs at Tel Aviv University, where she previously served as head of the school. Her research explores the intersection of politics and law with a particular focus on comparative constitution-making, religion, democracy, and labor rights within global supply chains. She is the author of 'Making Constitutions in Deeply Divided Societies' and has co-edited several works including 'Global Justice and International Labour Rights', 'Constitution Writing, Religion, and Democracy', and 'Comparative Constitution Making'. Lerner has held visiting positions at Princeton University and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and was a co-convener of an international research group on religion and constitutionalism at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Bielefeld, Germany. Before joining Tel Aviv University, she served as the deputy director of the School of Educational Leadership at the Mandel Institute in Jerusalem and has extensive experience as a journalist and news editor.
