Biography

Hanna Lindström is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Umeå School of Business, Economics and Statistics. Her main research interests lie in public procurement, environmental policy evaluation, design implementation, consumer preferences, and producer behavior. She defended her doctoral thesis titled 'Food Thought: Essays on Green Public Procurement Market for Organic Food' in 2021, which studied the functionality of public procurement as an instrument of environmental policy, focusing on consumer demand for organic food and the price transmission within the organic foods market. In addition to her research activities, she is a co-author of scientific reports related to public procurement and is currently involved in several projects that utilize public procurement as an environmental policy instrument. She is part of a three-year research project investigating how the green transition in energy-intensive sectors in Sweden affects labor demand and regional differences in labor demand effects.
