Dr. Hannah Cobb

Biography

Hannah Cobb is a Professor of Archaeology Pedagogy at the University of Manchester, where she also serves as the Lead Scholarship Academic Development. With a strong commitment to inclusion and equity in higher education, her research and teaching focus on contemporary archaeological practices and British prehistory. She has received several prestigious awards for her teaching excellence, including the AdvanceHE National Teaching Fellowship and the University of Manchester Teaching Excellence Award. Hannah has spearheaded various projects, including the Ardnamurchan Transitions Project and has played a key role in numerous teaching and learning leadership positions at the university. She is involved in global initiatives aimed at enhancing archaeology education and co-founded the UK's National Learning Teaching Focused Network. Hannah has written extensively on topics related to archaeology, including textbooks and resources on teaching and learning, and has actively engaged in international conferences related to archaeology education. Her career has been marked by roles as an Associate Director in eLearning and teaching innovation, among others. Hannah supervises dissertations on subjects like archaeological theory, feminist perspectives, and contemporary practices within archaeology.
