Biography

Hans de Wilt is a professor at Radboud University and holds the chair in Surgical Oncology. His research focuses on various aspects of surgical oncology, especially concerning extensive colorectal tumors, including both primary tumors and liver metastases, as well as sarcomas, melanomas, perfusion techniques, and thyroid tumors. With a strong clinical background, he has contributed significantly to the field of surgical oncology through his work at Radboudumc. He is actively involved in several organizations related to surgery, serving as a member of the national visitation committee for the Dutch Association of Surgery since January 2008, and as a board member of the Dutch Association for Surgical Oncology since January 2009. Additionally, since January 2009, he has served on the board of the National Tumor Working Group for Gastrointestinal Tumors and has been a substitute trainer in Surgery for the Nijmegen region since January 2010, indicating his commitment to the education and training of future surgeons.
