Hans Jochen Scholl serves as a Professor in the Information School at the University of Washington, Seattle. He obtained his Ph.D. in Information Science from the State University of New York, Albany, in 2002 and holds an MBA from the Graduate School of Business Administration in Zurich, Switzerland, earned in 1997. His research interests focus on understanding human-originated complex systems, particularly through system dynamics. Scholl has served as past president of the Digital Government Society and chairs the IFIP WG 8.5, which focuses on Information Systems in Public Administration.
