Dr. Hansheng Jiang

Biography

Hansheng Jiang is an Assistant Professor at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, specializing in Operations Management and Statistics. He received his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2023. He also holds a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Science and Technology of China, obtained in 2017. His research focuses on developing methodologies and algorithms for data-driven decision-making, employing a rich array of techniques in statistics, optimization, and machine learning. His work has been published in leading business journals, including the Manufacturing & Service Operations Management. Dr. Jiang is recognized for his academic excellence, being a recipient of the Berkeley Fellowship and the IISA student paper award for theory and methodology. He was also a finalist in the MSOM data-driven research challenge. He is available for supervising Masters and PhD students and is engaged in collaborative and industry projects in machine learning, including supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning.
