Biography

Hansong Xue is a lecturer at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) within the Science, Mathematics, and Technology cluster. He has a strong academic background, having completed his BSc in Mathematics with first-class honors at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2009. He pursued dual MSc degrees in Mathematics at NUS and Chemistry at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), culminating in 2015. He earned his PhD in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering from NUS in 2019. Xue has contributed to the development of innovative thin-film photovoltaic technologies and has participated in various research projects aimed at advancing sustainable energy applications. His recent work includes contributions to the Cambridge CARES initiative, focusing on Digital Twin technology to reduce carbon footprints. Notably, he played a crucial role in the Cooling Singapore project, where he applied his expertise to address the challenges presented by anthropogenic heat in urban environments. His research interests encompass Solar Photovoltaics, Transport Phenomena, Applied Machine Learning, and Knowledge Graphs.
