Hao Yuan Kueh's lab focuses on elucidating the molecular circuitry that controls immune cell development and function. The lab leverages engineering principles to develop next-generation immune cell therapies. The goal is to build a quantitative and biophysical understanding of immune cell circuit dynamics to design circuits that are robust and controllable. To meet this challenge, the lab measures, manipulates, and models the dynamic behavior of immune cell circuits in vitro and in animal models, employing quantitative techniques, single-cell resolution, and high-throughput methodologies. These approaches include live-cell imaging, single-cell genomics, and pooled screening strategies. By applying synthetic biology, Kueh's lab constructs and rewires immune control circuits, equipping immune cells with novel enhanced functional therapeutic capabilities.
