Biography

Dr. Haozhe 'Harry' Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Duke University. He obtained his B.S. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2012, followed by an M.S. from Northwestern University in 2014 and a M.Sc.Eng. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2015. He completed his Ph.D. at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2021. Dr. Wang’s research focuses on advancements in soft robotics and materials science, including zero-shot autonomous microscopy, metamaterials, and nanostructures. He has been a postdoctoral scholar at MIT and held a fellowship at the California Institute of Technology, receiving accolades such as the NSF Faculty Early Career Development Award and the KNI Prize Postdoctoral Fellowship. He has published numerous papers in high-impact journals, contributing significantly to the fields of Materials Science and Electrical Engineering. His teaching spans various advanced topics in Electrical Computer Engineering, demonstrating a commitment to education and mentoring in the engineering discipline.
