Dr. Harmeet Bedi

Biography

Harmeet Bedi is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University, specializing in Pulmonary Medicine with a focus on Interventional Pulmonology. As the Director of Interventional Pulmonology and Bronchoscopy, he leads innovative clinical practices involving minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic techniques for lung diseases, including lung cancer and pleural diseases. His expertise includes rigid and flexible bronchoscopy, robotic bronchoscopy, airway stent placement, and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS). Dr. Bedi has pioneered the cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT)-guided bronchoscopy program at Stanford, enhancing the accuracy of peripheral lung nodule diagnosis and allowing for the development of novel cancer therapies. He is actively involved in clinical trials related to bronchoscopy and thoracic imaging, contributing significantly to the field through his research on bronchoscopic device innovation. His clinical interests encompass a variety of topics, including lung nodules, airway obstruction, and lung transplant complications.
