Biography

Harold Kolodney Jr. is a Professor at the UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry. He obtained his DMD degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and has furthered his education through multiple prestigious institutions. He received a certificate in general dentistry from the University of Rochester Eastman Institute for Oral Health and a General Practice Residency (GPR) certificate from the Genesee Hospital in Rochester, New York. Kolodney completed a prosthodontic residency and obtained certificates in maxillofacial prosthetics from the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He earned the status of Diplomate in the specialty of prosthodontics in 1988. Before joining the UTHealth School of Dentistry, Kolodney served as the director of the Postgraduate Residency Program in Prosthodontics at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. Additionally, he was the director of the Oral Oncology Clinic at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He is a past president of the Mississippi Dental Association and has contributed vastly to the field of prosthodontics and oral healthcare.
