Biography

Harry Bulow has had a distinguished career as a composer, director, and saxophonist in music administration. He began his career as Director of Bands at Santa Barbara City College before serving as Chair of the Department of Music at the University of Hawaii. He has also directed the Center for Music Technology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and chaired the Mary Morgan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance at Lamar University. He studied under renowned composers including Aaron Copland and Peter Mennin, and his works have received numerous accolades, including 1st Prize at the International Composers Competition in Trieste, Italy. His diverse style encompasses jazz, concert, film, and sacred music, influenced by notable figures such as Witold Lutoslawski and Henry Mancini. Bulow has published several works and made significant contributions to music education and composition, with performances across the United States and internationally.
