Biography

Harryette Mullen is a distinguished Professor in the Department of English at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). With a Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Cruz, awarded in 1990, Mullen has significantly contributed to the fields of African-American literature, poetry, and American literature. Her poetry collection, Recyclopedia, published by Graywolf in 2006, received the PEN Margins Award in 2007.
