Dr. Harvey Kaslow

Biography

Harvey R. Kaslow is an Associate Professor at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, specializing in Physiology and Neuroscience. His research primarily focuses on cancer immunotherapy, particularly the regulation of immune responses and the role of cytotoxic antibodies and T lymphocytes in recognizing and eliminating cancer cells. His work investigates the immunosuppressive factors in solid tumors that affect the efficacy of immune effectors. Dr. Kaslow's educational background includes a graduate program at UC San Diego and postdoctoral research at UCSF, where he focused on cell signaling mechanisms. He plays an active role in teaching graduate, medical, and pharmacy courses, and serves as the Director of the Master of Science program in Medical Physiology. He also co-chairs the Endocrinology section of the medical student curriculum, contributing to the development and refinement of the medical and graduate curricula.
