Biography

Hasan Abbas received his BSc (Hons) degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan in 2009 and completed his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M University in 2017. He was a Fulbright scholarship recipient and has held a lecturer position in the Department of Electrical Engineering at UET Lahore from 2009 to 2012. Dr. Abbas worked as a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M University, Qatar, from April 2018 to June 2019 before joining the University of Glasgow as a lecturer. He is currently an executive member of the IEEE Joint AP/MTT Societies Scotland chapter and the IET Electromagnetics Professional Network. His research interests include real-time super-resolution microscopy techniques, AI-powered electromagnetics, and the development of greener antennas for communication systems.
