Professor Hasan Arshad heads the Asthma, Allergy and Clinical Immunology department at the University Hospital Southampton. He leads allergy research at the University of Southampton and the David Hide Asthma and Allergy Research Centre on the Isle of Wight. He is the principal investigator of Isle of Wight 3rd generation birth cohorts, investigating the natural history and genetic and environmental risk factors for allergic diseases, asthma, rhinitis, and food allergy. With approximately 300 published peer-reviewed papers and review articles, he has authored and edited three books and seven book chapters. He was awarded the prestigious Jack Pepys award by the British Society of Allergy & Clinical Immunology.
