Biography

Hatice Kizgin holds a Ph.D. from Newcastle Business School, where her research investigated immigrants’ consumer behaviour and acculturation trends. Her current research interests focus primarily on digital marketing, with a special interest in artificial intelligence and customer experience. She has worked at Swansea University and the University of Bradford in the UK. Kizgin has published articles in leading academic journals such as the Journal of Business Research, Information Systems Frontiers, Technology Forecasting, International Marketing Review, and several others. Additionally, she has presented her research at prominent international conferences in marketing and co-edited the book 'Advances in Theory and Practice of Digital Marketing' for Springer Publications. Hatice is currently serving as a co-editor for special issues in the International Journal of Information Management and is a member of the Editorial Review Board of the same journal. Moreover, she is the Deputy Chair of the Academy Marketing Special Interest Group focusing on Digital Marketing and Data Analytics, and serves as an external examiner at the Norwich Business School, University of East Anglia. Kizgin is also active in the Assadaqaat Community Finance board, where she addresses financial social exclusion and poverty eradication, particularly through the 'Inspiring Women Entrepreneurship Programme'. Her expertise encompasses areas related to psychology, acculturation, and the consumer perspective in social sciences and computer science roles, especially concerning artificial intelligence in organizations.
