Dr. Hayden Bosworth

Biography

Hayden Barry Bosworth is a prominent health services researcher and Professor in the Department of Population Health Sciences at Duke University. He also holds positions as a Professor in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and in Medicine at Duke University Medical Center. With extensive expertise in health behavior, health services research, implementation science, health measurement, and health policy, Dr. Bosworth actively contributes to various research initiatives aimed at improving patient treatment adherence and self-management of chronic care. His research interests include translation research to enhance access and quality of care and efforts to eliminate healthcare disparities. Dr. Bosworth has a Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University and has received multiple grants from the National Institutes of Health for various projects focusing on health equity and chronic disease management. He has previously served as a Deputy Director at the Center of Innovation to Accelerate Discovery and Practice Transformation at the Durham VA Medical Center and has been involved in numerous academic and professional activities, including serving as a Team Leader in Bass Connections, focusing on health disparities in North Carolina. His teaching repertoire includes courses on population health and health services research.
