Biography

Hayley Ingram is a RNA scientist working as a Research Officer at the University of Western Australia, specializing in RNA design and research manufacturing. She is currently involved in establishing Western Australia’s mRNA production facility under the Australian Centre for RNA Therapeutics Cancer (ACRTC). Her role involves planning, budgeting, and developing procedures for a Quality Management System, as well as collaborating with researchers to contribute to the research development of RNA therapeutics aimed at improving cancer treatments. Prior to her role in the RNA facility, she planned and executed a sponsored research project with an external biotechnology company, focusing on antibody-based therapeutics in cancer research. Concurrently, she collaborated with the Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS) on a project involving long non-coding RNA structure discovery. Additionally, she has experience in pre-clinical trials during her time at the Preclinical Intensive Care Research Unit (PICRU) under Professor Jane Pillow. Apart from her laboratory-based research, she is passionate about tertiary education and is involved in laboratory demonstrating and marking undergraduate students in the School of Human Molecular Sciences. Hayley aspires to pursue a PhD to further explore the intricacies of RNA therapeutics and contribute innovative avenues to cancer treatment.
