Professor Dr. Hazim El Mounayri

Biography

Hazim El Mounayri is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. His expertise lies in various areas of mechanical engineering, including advanced manufacturing and materials. El Mounayri holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the American University in Cairo, where he also concentrated on Materials. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from McMaster University, Canada, specializing in Advanced Manufacturing. His research interests include virtual manufacturing, nanomanufacturing, machining process modeling, simulation optimization, integrated CAD/CAE/CAM-based product development, enhancement of CAD/CAM technology, automation, CNC production, PLM design, renewable energy, and biomedical systems. El Mounayri's work is aimed at improving efficiencies in manufacturing processes and advancing the application of technology in engineering education.
