Biography

Haziq Jamil is a Visiting Fellow at the Department of Statistics at the London School of Economics and Political Science. His research focuses on statistical theory, methods, computation, and applications in the social sciences. Currently, Haziq is concentrating on scalable estimation methods in latent variable models, composite likelihood approaches, and approximate Bayesian methods. He earned his degree in Statistics and Operations Research from the University of Warwick, followed by an MSc and PhD in Statistics from the London School of Economics. Prior to his academic career, Haziq worked as a research officer at the Ministry of Defence in Brunei.
