Biography

Heather Bizon is an Assistant Teaching Professor at Carnegie Mellon University in the School of Architecture. She directs the Pre-College Architecture program, which is an immersive summer opportunity designed to engage high school students in the discipline of architecture. In the 2018-19 academic year, she held the Ann Kalla Professorship, teaching in various studio formats, including leading the Advanced Synthesis Option Studio titled "Identity + Making: American Mash-Up" and delivering a lecture during the School of Architecture’s Fall 2018 Lecture Series. Her work as an artist and architect investigates the perception of space in public and private realms through the lens of new media, technology, and film. Heather has collaborated with MOS Architects on diverse projects, including public works and exhibitions. Her academic credentials include a B.Arch from Cornell University and an M.Arch II from Yale University.
