Biography

Heather Chapman, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician and attending physician at Hasbro Children's Partial Hospital Program (HCPHP), which is a regional and national referral center for children facing complex medical and psychological issues. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts and earned her MD from the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine in 1993. After completing her residency at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1996, she served as pediatric chief resident and subsequently as a pediatric academic fellow for a year. Before her current position at Brown University, she worked in pediatric primary care at St. Joseph’s Health Center and managed a newborn nursery and an Infant Behavior, Cry, and Sleep Clinic at Women & Infants Hospital in Providence. In 2018, she became a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist and is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
