Biography

Dr. Heather Curtis is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Dalhousie University. She completed her MD at Dalhousie University in 2003 and her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the same institution in 2009. Dr. Curtis further advanced her expertise by completing a Fellowship in Women’s Imaging at the University of Toronto in 2010. After returning to Halifax, she joined the IWK as a staff radiologist focusing on Women's Imaging and also held a cross-appointment at the QEII Health Sciences Centre specializing in Breast Imaging. In 2012, she became a full-time member of the QEII Diagnostic Imaging group, concentrating on Breast and Abdominal Imaging. Dr. Curtis has significant experience in medical education, previously serving as the Past-President of the Nova Scotia Association of Radiologists and as the Undergraduate Program Director for Diagnostic Radiology at Dalhousie from 2012 to 2021. In 2022, she took on the role of Program Director for the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program.
