Heather is a Research Associate in the Health Economics & Health Technology Assessment (HEHTA) research group at the School of Health and Wellbeing. Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, she completed her MSc in Epidemiology with a focus on Implementation Science at the University of the Witwatersrand. Before joining the University of Glasgow, Heather worked on economic evaluations at the South African Medical Research Council / Centre for Health Economics Decision Science – PRICELESS SA, based at the Wits School of Public Health. Her current projects focus on economic evaluations alongside clinical trials, including studies evaluating interventions aimed at reducing symptoms of Long COVID, cardiac rehabilitation for heart failure patients, and community-based cycling programs. Heather employs a range of methods in her work, including decision-analytic modeling and regression survival analysis. She is also involved in teaching, supervising MSc students in Health Technology Assessment and contributing to courses in Health Economics and HTA Policies and Principles.
