Biography

Heather Gill is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Vascular Surgery at Dalhousie University. Originally from Montreal, she completed her General Surgery training at McGill University in 2012. She later earned a Master's degree in Public Health from Harvard University and finished her Vascular Surgery Fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical College in 2014. Dr. Gill has significant experience in advanced endovascular treatments for aortic pathology and other vascular diseases. Her clinical practice focuses on the treatment of aortic, peripheral, carotid, and mesenteric vascular diseases, including AV access work and Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS) pathology. As the chief of research for the division of vascular surgery, her research interests center on outcomes-based research in vascular surgery, leading to multiple grants and awards. She actively participates in the Canadian Society of Vascular Surgery, having served in various roles including program chair, research chair, and president elect, and is currently the past president. Dr. Gill presents her research at both national and international meetings.
